Accommodation Information

Room types:

- 1 room of 6 beds (3 bunks),

- 1 room of 6 beds (3 bunks) with ensuite shower room and 2 sinks

- 1 rooms with 4 beds (2 bunks) with sink. An extra bed can be added to make it 5 beds.

- 1 rooms with 4 beds (2 bunks)

- One 16 bed dorm with 2 showers & 2 sinks, 2 ladies toilets, a gents toilet and urinal.

- One 3 bed room (1 bunk, 1 single)

- One twin (1 bunk) separate private room with-in large dormitory - not ensuite.

All rooms are dormitory style, mixed sex and have free lockers.

Terms & Conditions
The Walrus Hostel Terms & Conditions TERMS AND CONDITIONS REGARDING BOOKINGS OVER THE NEW YEAR PERIOD:1. All bookings made for any dates between 31st December 2011 and 2nd January 2012 require a 20% deposit (deducted from total due on arrival)2. Any date changes or cancellation (full or partial) must be confirmed before 26th December 2011.Arrivals and Departures New arrivals can check into their rooms after 2pm each day. Guests may arrive earlier and leave their luggage at the hostel but access to rooms will not be granted until after 2pm. Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their room, and check out, before 11am. After this time guests may make use of the luggage storage facilities, but all possessions must be removed from the room and the security card handed back to reception. Check In You do not have to be a member of any organisation to stay at The Walrus Hostel however we do require that some form of valid photo identification is presented upon check in, preferably a Passport, I.D. card, or driving license. Check OutGuests must hand all security room cards back to receptionCheck out is at 11 am. In the event of a late check out, you will be asked to pay for an extra night. Age Restriction Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult (over 18). Unlike some hostels we do not have an upperage limit. Most of our guests are backpackers in the 18 to 30 age range. Please be aware that you may be assigned a top bunk. Guest Behaviour The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to The Walrus Hostel Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety, or security of other guests, staff, or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be offered a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property. In the case of groups, the group leaders must ensure that all members of their group behave in an acceptable manner. Failure of any individual group member to do so will result in the expulsion of the whole group. Smoking Smoking is not permitted anywhere within The Walrus Hostels premises. Any guest found smoking within the building will be asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund. A smoking area and ashtrays are provided outside the bar for guests who wish to smoke. Alcohol and DrugsAlcohol is served in the downstairs bar, and guests may consume their own alcoholic beverages in the hostel with in designated areas- so long as they are over the age of 18. Any guests under the age of 18 found consuming alcoholic beverages, as well as their guardian(s) and other group members (where applicable) will be escorted from the premises and will not be offered a refund. Any guests found with, consuming, or under the influence of any illegal drugs will be expelled from the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund. Personal Property Guests may use secure lockers located in their rooms or the luggage store located in the first floor area. However it remains the guest's responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. The Walrus Hostel accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to property however sustained or caused. Please bring a padlock to use with your locker or you can purchase one at reception. The Walrus Hostel Property Guests will be expected to reimburse to The Walrus Hostel for any damages caused by inappropriate behaviour during their stay at The Walrus Hostel.Security Cards Upon check in guests will receive a room security card for access to both the hostel and their room. These cards must be handed back to reception on check out. Failure to return the card will result in a £5.00 charge which may be charged against the customer's credit card.Liability Except in relation to death or personal injury caused by our negligence The Walrus Hostel liability remains, at all times, limited to the value of the services booked, excluding any amendment charges paid to us.Your Information The Walrus Hostel shall only store and use information you supply to us or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you.Accessibility All guests are advised that The Walrus Hostel is a five story building, without lift facilities or handicapped access beyond the ground bar floor. Guests with limited mobility are advised to contact the management at The Walrus Waterloo before considering booking. Guests should be aware that they may be assigned to a room on any floor of the building, including the top floor. Guests should be aware that they may be assigned a top bunk.Errors and Omissions Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, despatch note, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.Discretion All bookings are subject to availability and The Walrus Hostel reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
